How our escrow-based Buyer Protection works
WannaWhisky’s Buyer Protection is designed to give buyers confidence and help ensure transparent, secure transactions.
1. Find your dream whisky
2. Purchase securely with Buyer Protection
3. Receive your new whisky
4. When you are satisfied, the seller receives payment
Two possible outcomes
When purchasing through our platform, buyers will end up in one of two scenarios:
1. You receive the bottle you ordered…
Once the seller ships the item and you confirm successful delivery, the secured funds are released to the seller.
2. … or you receive your money back.
If the seller cannot deliver the item, or if something goes significantly wrong with the transaction, the escrowed funds are refunded to you.
In both cases, the goal is the same: a safe, predictable outcome.
What the refund covers
If a refund is issued, it includes:

The purchase price of the bottle

Any shipping costs paid in the original transaction
It does not include:

The Buyer Protection fee, which covers the costs of providing the service.
When Buyer Protection applies
Buyer Protection helps in situations such as:
- The seller cannot ship the item
- The item is lost during shipping
- A dispute arises and the case is resolved in the buyer’s favour
Terms and conditions apply, and both parties must follow the necessary steps and instructions.
